Welcome to ERP Ireland

ERP Ireland was established in 2005 as a result of the success and expansion of ERP in Europe. To date ERP Ireland has 75 members and continues to grow annually. So far this year we have collected an average of 9.5kg of electronic waste per person, over double the EU target of 4kg per person. This marks an impressive achievement for ERP Ireland and reflects the remarkable shift in the public’s attitude towards electronic recycling.

As ERP Ireland is part of a pan-European recycling operation we can avail of synergies and volume sales and provide member companies with economies of scale and competitive pricing. ERP Ireland enforces a fair and competitive pricing policy which reflects real collection volumes and return rates. For more information email: ireland(at)erp-recycling(dot)org

ERP launch "Be Free" of your Electrical Waste Campaign

ERP has launched a new campaign to encourage people to “Be Free” of their electrical waste and used batteries. Duncan Stewart will launch the first “Be Free” recycling event in Kerry at the Mart, in Tralee on March 14th. The campaign takes a fresh approach to recycling and is set to inspire the general public and encourage them to recycle their electrical appliances. Duncan will also unveil ERP’s recycled garden which consists of a life-size kitchen with magnificent floral displays growing out of various waste household appliances. ERP will be running recycling events throughout the year, taking one in a series of themed recycled gardens on tour.

John Gormley TD, Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government commended the campaign saying, “Electronic waste is one of the fastest growing waste streams in the EU today. The responsibility of reducing the amount of electronic waste going into landfill cannot be achieved by industry and government alone. Householders have an important role to play in reducing the amount of electronic waste going to landfill. ERP provides a valuable service by providing these “Be Free” recycling days in local areas to make it convenient for householders to recycle their unwanted electrical equipment.”

ERP Ireland has announced a new service which eliminates the administrative burden for retailers in order for them to comply with EU Waste Management Regulations.
