UMBERTO RAITERI
President and CEO
Umberto Raiteri is the President and CEO of the European Recycling Platform (ERP). In this role, Raiteri is responsible for the management of ERP’s activities across Europe; he has driven the growth of ERP to reach 84M€ turnover, over 1300 member companies and operations in 11 countries. He works closely with ERP’s local management teams to develop and enhance ERP’s position as the key player in the WEEE compliance market in Europe.
Raiteri has 20 years of leadership experience in the European business environment, covering different responsibilities at local and European level within the Electrolux Group. Formerly Managing Director at Electrolux Ireland, Raiteri held various senior managerial positions before being appointed as General Manager for ERP Ireland in October 2005. Under his leadership he guided the creation and start-up of the local entity. During his tenure ERP Ireland saw its membership triple in size and its credibility established with the local authorities and government bodies.
Joined ERP in August 2005 as General Manager for ERP Ireland, then moved on to President & CEO of ERP Europe in August 2006.
More than 20 years of leadership experience in the European business environment, covering different responsibilities at local and European level within the Electrolux Group; held various senior managerial positions in Production Management, Product Marketing, After Sales, Spares Operations, European Product Line
Has a degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Udine.
